EVComputing started off with summer camps in June-August 2014. The Python Programming, Mobile App Development and LEGO Robotics camps were a hit with all the students, and all the camps were filled to capacity with over 100 spots in all.
To hear the students exclaim, “Mrs. Dash, I didn’t know robotics could be so cool!” or “Can you give me some programs for homework?”< during summer vacation, mind you!> was music to my ears.
Some of the Mobile App Development students as young as 9 years old went on to make their own apps and games for family and friends after attending the week long camp. MIT App Inventor is the perfect introduction to App Development for young kids.
