Homework Assignment, Completion, Getting Help

Homework Assignment, Completion, and Getting Help

After each class, the teacher assigns homework tasks via email. Students must complete and submit their homework at least one day before the next class. Assistance with homework is available between classes through email. Students are encouraged to provide detailed explanations of their attempts when seeking help via email. It’s essential for students to address all questions via email before the due date rather than waiting until the next class.

 Learning Enhancement

Verbalizing ideas enhances learning. When students express their confusion, concerns, or questions in writing, they clarify their understanding and identify areas of difficulty. Learning is significantly reinforced when students document their thoughts, communicate via email, exchange messages, and implement suggestions until a solution is reached.

Teacher-Parent Communication
After each class, the teacher updates each student’s individual Progress Google Doc, which includes attendance, covered concepts, homework status, improvement suggestions, and achievements. Parents get the link to this document at the beginning of the session and are advised to review it regularly with their student.

Throughout the session, parents receive periodic email updates and reminders containing information on holiday schedules, session end dates, upcoming session enrollment details, and links for makeup class registration.

If parents have any inquiries or concerns regarding their student, email is the preferred method of communication. This ensures proper tracking of questions and requests for course adjustments. Additionally, parents have the option to schedule unlimited Parent Zoom Calls during a session, exclusively for discussions between the parent and teacher, without students.

This communication framework is designed for online group classes, ensuring effective collaboration. Additionally, parents can log into the student’s course portal whenever they wish, monitoring their progress with lessons and exercises. Some parents choose to have access to the email their student uses. For those seeking even more personalized attention or frequent updates, such as being cc’ed in all student-teacher emails, one-on-one online classes offer an ideal alternative.
